Favorite accomplishment: “Creating a community in the Triangle that celebrates maker entrepreneurs, and helping to revitalize specific under-appreciated neighborhoods in downtown Durham, Raleigh and now Cary.”

Motivation: “To create what I wish existed, and to create more dynamic and interwoven communities.”

Biggest challenge: “Working capital. Gather is self-funded and I need to raise about $35,000 to help the business grow. I am looking into Small Business Administration loans and crowdfunding.”

Guiding philosophy: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Fun fact: “I’ve always wanted to renovate a barn into a home and live in it.”

Advice: “Be nimble and learn to roll with the punches.”
