Liquid Assets: Why is Sally So Dangerous?

1.5 ounces blanco tequila
1/2 ounce lime cordial
1 ounce red bell pepper syrup
1 ounce mango puree

Combine ingredients in shaker with crushed ice and shake Pour entire contents of shaker into a glass rimmed with Tajin (chili, lime and salt mixture that is readily available). Float .5oz ancho liquor onto the drink. Garnish with a cucumber.

Home Version

1.5 ounces blanco tequila
3/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce agave syrup
1 ounce red bell pepper syrup*
1 ounce mango puree or juice
1 slice jalapeno
Pinch salt

Combine ingredients in shaker without ice and shake hard. Add crushed ice to shaker and shake again. Pour contents of shaker into a glass rimmed with Tajin. Float .05 ounce Averna onto drink. Garnish with a cucumber.

*Red Bell Pepper Syrup

1 cup sugar
1 cup hot water
2 red bell peppers, seeds removed and cut into slices

Combine sugar and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Take off stove and add peppers. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Blend at high speed and strain. Cool before using. You may add an ounce of rum to increase shelf life. Keep refrigerated.
