Things to Do: April 2023

1. Celebrate the third annual Taste of China – Chinese Food and Culture Festival in downtown Cary, featuring authentic Chinese cuisine, traditional arts, live martial arts demonstrations, folk and traditional dances, musical performances, and much more. 2. Get your drink on at Brewgaloo 2023, North Carolina’s largest craft beer festival (and the second biggest in the US)! This two-day festival features local food trucks, vendors, bands, and over 110 craft breweries from around NC. Kick off the fun during Friday night’s block party and sampler event featuring limited releases, barrel aged and sour beers. 3. Need an escape from reality? Head to the 10th Annual Festival of Legends, a local fairy festival celebrating 10 years of magic with mythical monsters, amazing acrobats, fantastic food, and mesmerizing magicians. Saturday, April 22, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 23, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; $15 and up; 2908 Optimist Farm Road, Apex. festivaloflegends.com

4. Run a lap and earn a beer! The Bull City Beer Mile consists of drinking four beers and running four laps (1 mile) around Durham Central Park. Once you’re finished, stay and party in the park with live music, food trucks, and delicious Glass Jug beer (or just come for the party; we won’t judge). 5. Celebrate the artistry and creativity in the state of NC at the Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival, featuring 170 local artists and Cary’s Earth Day celebration — complete with outdoor sporting activities, music, food, and children’s activities.
