Recipe: Bye, Bye Winter

Bye, bye winter — we won't miss you!

To celebrate winter's long-awaited departure, award-winning mixologist Charlotte Voisey of Bonefish Grill offers up a recipe for this Cold Snap Cosmo, served in a glass made completely of ice. Yes, you read that correctly.

Best handled with a mitten, this combo of sweet and delicious features small-batch Icelandic Reyka vodka, Solerno (a blood orange liqueur) and fresh blood orange juice.

Specific molds were created to construct the glass, which will be available at Bonefish Grill restaurants now through the end of April.

But here's the recipe, so you can try it at home!

Cold Snap Cosmo

1 1/2 ounces Reyka vodka

1 ounce Solerno blood orange liqueur

1/2 to 1 ounce blood orange juice

1/2 to 1 ounce fresh lime simple syrup

Blood orange slice, for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a pint glass. Pack full with ice. Shake vigorously 20 times.

Strain into a frozen ice glass.

Garnish with a fresh blood orange slice on top of the ice.
