Unplug This Summer with Free Bowling for Kids

When it’s too hot to send the kids outside this summer, movies and video games aren’t their only entertainment options.

The AMF Summer Unplugged program encourages families to “Turn off the TV. Turn up the free fun.”

By enrolling in the program, kids 16 and younger receive two free bowling games per person per day. The offer runs all summer long, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Parents can sign their children up online, and each week they will receive an email coupon good for that week’s free bowling games. Shoe rental is not included.

“We will have mini tournaments and arts and crafts events, such as bowling pin decorating throughout the summer,” said AMF South Hills General Manager Andrew Madans. All events are free to participants.

If parents, babysitters or siblings want to get in on the fun, AMF offers its Summer 17 Plus Pass for $27.95 that allows up to four adults to receive two games per day to bowl with the children.

Well-behaved kids who are old enough to bowl alone are permitted to participate without parental supervision. Free bowling is available until 8 p.m. seven days a week.

AMF South Hills is located at 301 Nottingham Drive in Cary. AMF Pleasant Valley at 5501 Commercial Ave. in Raleigh and AMF Durham at 4508 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. are also participating.
