Don’t miss the sounds and spectacle of the seventh annual Panther Creek Invitational Marching Band Competition!

Featuring 1,700 talented students from 19 high schools across the state, this drums-trumpets-action event is set for Saturday, Sept 27 at Panther Creek High.

Bands scheduled to perform include Cary High; Green Hope; Wakefield; Enloe; Broughton; and Sanderson.

Cheer on all the visiting bands as they compete for the coveted PCI trophies, then cheer some more as host band the Panther Creek Marching Catamounts perform their new show, The Gathering, at 9 p.m., in exhibition only.

Months of drills, high stepping and mastering the music will be on display at the PCI, for your entertainment.

The bands get bigger as the night goes on, with crowds of more than 3,000 people expected inside the stadium, and bands numbering 150-plus students

Come kick off this year’s marching band season, and help send the Marching Catamounts back to national competition at Bands of America in Indianapolis!                                 

What: Panther Creek Invitational Marching Band Competition

When: Saturday, Sept. 27, 4 to 10 p.m.

Times: Gates open 2 p.m., first band performs at 4 p.m.

Largest bands perform beginning at 8 p.m.; Trophies awarded 10 p.m.

Where: Panther Creek High School stadium, 6770 McCrimmon Parkway, Cary

Tickets: Available at the gate; $10 general admission, $5 for seniors 65+ and children ages 4-10. Children under 4 admitted free.
