Surprises in Store at Virtual Taste for a Cure

For the last six years, hundreds of Triangle residents have come together on one special night to support the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation and its mission of early detection and prevention of melanoma.

This year, the Cary-based nonprofit is bringing the magic of the Taste for a Cure gala into supporters’ homes with a virtual event at 7 p.m., Sunday, March 7. Plenty of surprises will be delivered to the big screen – and to your doorstep. Guests will also enjoy early access to a silent auction and will have opportunities to bid on live items during the event.

Net proceeds from the evening will fund free skin cancer screenings, education and awareness programs and major research efforts in the melanoma medical community. The evening’s live agenda will feature prominent members of our community who are dedicated to improving health and ridding the world of melanoma – the deadliest form of skin cancer.

In addition to supporting the fight against melanoma, the $275 ticket price includes:

  • Live access to the virtual event, featuring melanoma warriors Lacey Adams, former Duke women’s basketball coach Joanne P. McCallie, and the family of Grace Wenzel.
  • Deliveries to your doorstep during the event, including cocktail mixes, hors d’oeuvre and a gala gift bag.
  • Access to the Taste for a Cure silent auction, featuring luxury gifts, signed memorabilia, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
