Support Life Experiences with Golf and a Par-Tee

The Cary-based Life Experiences might be best known for its outstanding brownies, but the nonprofit does so much more.

Its bakery, shredding, laundry, sub-contracting and buckwheat hull services all offer employment to adults with developmental disabilities, while simultaneously providing services and products for the community.

You can support the efforts of Life Experiences by taking part in its largest fundraiser of the year, the 32nd annual Harry H. Montgomery Golf Tournament & Par-Tee, set for Sunday and Monday, Sept. 15-16.

But don’t delay! Friday, Sept. 6, is the last day to register for the event.

“Proceeds support our work at Life Experiences by offering adults with disabilities vocational and skill job training opportunities and afternoon enrichment classes,” said Shay Williamson, marketing director.

The two-part fundraising event begins with the Par-Tee at Chatham Station in downtown Cary. A $50 ticket includes: complimentary valet parking, an open bar with beer and wine, delicious food, raffle prizes, and a live auction featuring great items like Mexico vacations and one-of-a-kind works of art by local artist Dan Campbell.

Day two features a golf tournament at Prestonwood Country Club, with a boxed lunch, refreshments on the course, and awards at the end of the day.
