Want it all when it comes to home features — pretty AND practical?
You can have it!
Check out the latest in green building techniques at the 11th annual Green Home Tour, running this weekend and next across Wake and surrounding counties, and featuring two homes in Holly Springs.
The free self-guided tour offers first-hand looks at advanced building practices and materials, with a building professional onsite at each tour home to answer questions and present the home’s green features.
Each home on the tour meets the certification requirements established by Home Innovation Research Lab’s National Green Building Standard.
“I encourage you to visit the homes participating in this year’s Triangle Green Home Tour,” said Michele Myers, 2016 tour chair. “Talking with the builders and representatives and viewing the advanced building practices and materials will give you a greater appreciation of what is involved in the superior construction requirements of NGBS. Homes certified to those standards result in healthier, more comfortable, energy efficient and life cycle cost effective homes.”
