Party like it’s for a good cause — because it is!
Food, fun and fundraising are all on the agenda as the Caring Community Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping Triangle-area cancer patients in need of financial assistance, holds its 13th annual Pay It Forward Party.
Set for Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Renaissance Raleigh Hotel at North Hills, the charity will host this evening of fundraising, from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The evening opens with a VIP Champagne Reception hosted by the CCF board of directors and WRAL-TV’s Debra Morgan as mistress of ceremonies.
There’s also heavy hors d’ oeuvres, an open bar featuring beer and wine, live entertainment provided by The Soul Psychedelique, dancing, raffles and live and silent auctions.
Bid on anything from a TV station tour with Morgan to a “day as the chef” experience, a private plane excursion to a Napa wine country tour, even a week for two on the Mexican Riviera.
Founded in 2001 by Cary resident Jill Wolford, family and friends, the Caring Community Foundation has now helped more than 1,500 cancer patients and allocated more than $1 million directly to patients.
One hundred percent of individual funds raised go directly to cancer patients for necessities such as rent, utilities and medicine. Corporate sponsors pay for the foundation’s administrative costs.
Tickets for Pay it Forward are $75 in advance and $100 at the door. For tickets or more information, visit caringcommunityfoundation.org.
