Kids grow — and outgrow — fast, from clothes to toys and equipment.
Catch up on some of those growing-child needs at the Kids’ Consignment Sale, this Friday and Saturday at Garner United Methodist Church.
Consignment items will include great-condition children’s clothing from infant to pre-teen sizes, organizers say, along with gently-used furniture, bedding, toys, sports equipment and more.
Sale hours are Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 201 Methodist Drive in Garner.
Charlotte's Web
On Saturday at 11 a.m., introduce the kids to Charlotte the spider, viaTheatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web, based on E.B. White's story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte.
This performance takes place at the Garner Performing Arts Center; tickets are $10.

One Night Only: Heroes, Monsters & Madmen
It’s a big night in Garner this Saturday at 7, as the second concert of the acclaimed Broadway Voices series is held at the Garner Performing Arts Center.
Titled Heroes, Monsters and Madmen, the star of the show will be Craig Schulman, the only actor to have performed as Valjean in Broadway’s Les Miserables, The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, and in the lead role in Jekyll & Hyde.
Schulman will perform songs from all three productions, along with selections from Camelot, Carousel, Beauty and the Beast, Man of La Mancha, The Secret Garden, and others.
He has also performed in the operas Carmen, Die Fledermaus, and Madama Butterfly, and his solo concerts have played before sold-out audiences nationwide.
The final concert of the 2012-2013 Broadway Voices series is set for May 4, starring Alli Mauzey.

Saturday Superlatives
Also this weekend, local entertainment includes Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, appearing on Saturday, March 9 at 8 p.m., at The Clayton Center.
Hailed as one of the most accomplished and eclectic musicians in country music, the Grammy Award-winning Stuart has performed worldwide.
