This weekend is a big deal for Meg’s Smile Foundation, as the all-volunteer nonprofit holds its largest fundraising event of the year, the Meg’s Smile Foundation Auction Event.

The organization fulfills “smiles” for children affected by serious illness, bringing a ray of sunshine to families going through an emotional medical journey.  

But first, on Saturday, July 20 Tijuana Flats of Holly Springs will donate 20 percent of all sales from 4 to 10:30 p.m. to Meg’s Smile Foundation.

Then, on Sunday, July 21, the two-part auction will include a silent auction offering sports memorabilia, artwork, trips, gift baskets and more, and a live auction will feature a Carolina Hurricanes Fan Package. The “Voice of the Hurricanes” Chuck Kaiton will play host.

Live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres by local restaurants, and a cash bar round out the evening’s festivities, to be held at Devil’s Ridge Golf Club in Holly Springs, from 6 to 9 p.m.   

Finally, on Monday, July 22 is the third annual Meg’s Smile Foundation golf tournament, also at Devil’s Ridge.
