Make Your Take-Out Healthy

Made-to-order salads, wraps and grain bowls from Diced can be modified with roasted vegetables like asparagus, beets and Brussels sprouts.

In this stressful time, we may be drawn to our favorite comfort foods — mac and cheese, ice cream or potatoes in any form. Although an occasional treat is fine, maybe it’s time for something a little healthier?

Diced Gourmet Salads & Wraps has you covered. Wholesome made-to-order salads, wraps and grain bowls can be picked-up or delivered to you.

“Eating healthy during this time is crucial,” said Diced founder and owner Michelle Woodward.

“A ton of research has been done, where meals with nutritional value have a much greater impact on positive moods and overall mental health, as well as physical health,” she said. A healthy meal “can improve motivation and energy throughout the day, good internal health, and will physically make you feel great instead of sluggish.”

Woodward says all three restaurant locations — Cary, Raleigh and West Cary  — have also taken precautions within the stores to protect customers picking up their food. These include ordering from at least six feet away, keeping ingredients covered, and using new gloves for each order.

Curbside pick-up is available upon request, and the store is offering free delivery for those who don’t want to leave the house.

“We also truly appreciate the support being a small local business,” Woodward said. “We are trying to figure out the best ways to continue that community support.”
