Town of Cary to Celebrate 2020 Grads

Graduating from high school is a major achievement and important milestone, and this year’s senior class has missed out on opportunities to be publicly recognized for their accomplishments. The Town of Cary is recognizing the class of 2020 with a showcase of graduate photos.

Graduating seniors who live in the Town of Cary are invited to submit a photo to be included in this showcaseThe deadline is midnight on Tuesday, June 30.

Throughout July, larger-than-life student portraits will be projected onto the exterior walls of the Cary Arts Center. The photo showcase will be displayed from 9 – 11 p.m. following the schedule below:

  • Middle Creek High School: Wednesday, July 8 – Sunday, July 12
  • Cary High School: Wednesday, July 15 – Sunday, July 19
  • Panther Creek High School: Wednesday, July 22 – Sunday, July 26
  • Green Hope High School: Wednesday, July 29 – Sunday, Aug. 2
  • Cary Seniors from Other High Schools: Wednesday, Aug. 5 – Sunday, Aug. 9

Following the same schedule, the fountain at Downtown Cary Park will be lit with the corresponding school’s colors, and the Cary Theater will display a message of congratulations on its marquee to the appropriate school’s graduates.

Those coming to view the displays will need to follow COVID-19 restrictions established by health officials at the state, county and local level. If large crowds begin to gather, the showcase may be stopped or postponed.
