What do you get when you cross ugly Christmas sweater fun with a run at Sugg Farm Park? The Suggly Sweater 5K, of course!

Benefiting the Meg’s Smile Foundation, which provides special days out or gifts to children affected by serious illnesses, the second annual Suggly Sweater 5K & Christmas Celebration is a new twist on family fun.   

Come dressed in your favorite ugly sweater, and after the 5K/Fun Run, partake in holiday-themed snacks, drinks, music and activities, and take pictures with Santa! 

The 5k event will be officially chipped and timed by Tar River Timing Company. Last year’s event saw more than 375 registrants, and raised $8,000. This year’s goal is 500 people and $12,500 for the nonprofit.

The Suggly takes place on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 10:30 a.m., at Sugg Farm Park, located on Grigsby Avenue in Holly Springs.

5K tickets are $30 and Fun Run tickets are $10. Children age 5 and younger can participate in the Fun Run at no cost.
