Red Means Go

Heart disease is the number one killer of women, causing one in three deaths each year. Yet 80 percent of all cardiac events may be prevented, with education and lifestyle changes.

You can help spread the word, by wearing red and by grabbing a last-minute ticket to the 2017 Triangle Go Red For Women Luncheon. It’s happening tomorrow (Friday, May 19) from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley, and features a “purse-onality” auction of unique bags.

The Go Red For Women movement encourages people to take action toward healthier lives, and works to dispel misconceptions about heart disease in women that could be putting us at risk.

Can’t make the luncheon, but want to know more?

Learn about your own risk factors for heart disease, and how you can join in the work of the Triangle chapter of the American Heart Association, at facebook.com/TriangleAHA and goredforwomen.org.
