Ready, Set, Shop!

Looking for a fun place to kick off your holiday shopping season, while supporting local and regional artists?

Here it is: The Carolina Artisan Craft Market!

This three-day market, now in its 46th year, gathers more than 110 contemporary fine craft artists all in one place, for a handcrafted artisan shopping experience, artist demonstrations, live music and an award-winning art exhibition.

Works by Amy Flynn, left, and Mary Ann Scherr.

What you’ll find: Unique artisan crafts in mediums including ceramics; glass; leather; metal; mixed media; photography; printmaking; wearable and decorative fibers; basketry; and wood, along with one-of-a-kind handmade furniture and both precious and semi-precious jewelry.

Each participating artist is selected by a rigorous jury process, and all ticket sales benefit nonprofit host organization Carolina Designer Craftsman Guild.

Works by clay artists Louis and Christine Columbarini, left, and fiber artist Lisa LeMair.
