Party for the Arts

Over the years, Cary Visual Art has placed more than 50 works of art  —  valued at more than $1 million  —  at parks, businesses and public properties across the Town of Cary.

You’ve seen these sculptures and two-dimensional works, commissioned by CVA, prominently placed up and down Academy Street, outside Town Hall and in open spaces. They’re created by artists from all over the country.

Now, take part in CVA’s biggest celebration of the year, the 18th annual Art Ball, on Nov. 1 at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary.

Bringing the community and the organization together, the Art Ball has been a Cary tradition since 1997, as an elegant evening of fine dining, dancing and art in the spirit of celebrating those who make an impact in the arts community, while raising operating funds for Cary Visual Art.

The evening includes a champagne artists’ reception to thank artists taking part in this year’s art auction, the premiere of the CVA photo exhibit juried by locally-established photographers, and 10 selected works available for purchase.

Paintings, pottery, jewelry and textiles are among the unique pieces that will be available during the Art Ball.

Also on the evening’s agenda are musical performances by the Catalinas and the Concert Singers of Cary.
