No, we’re not talking about the popular Netflix drama!

This Orange is the New Black has a warm and fuzzy appeal, as one of the largest cat and kitten adoption events of the season.

Alley Cats & Angels, an all-volunteer cat rescue organization based in Apex, will host Orange is the New Black beginning June 28, from 1 to 4 p.m., at area PetSmart stores.

Featuring cats of all breeds and colors, the event also offers 15 kittens that are new to the rescue organization. Many of these kittens are — you guessed it — orange!

Orange is the New Black runs through July 13, as follows:

June 28-29

Pet Supplies Plus, Raleigh

July 12

All of these events run from 1 to 4 p.m.

Alley Cats & Angels was named a Top Nonprofit of 2013 by Great Nonprofits, provider of reviews and ratings of nonprofit organizations across the country. 

All cats and kittens adopted from Alley Cats & Angels come fully vetted, including spay/neuter surgery, FeLV/FIV test, treatment for fleas and intestinal parasites, vaccinations for distemper and feline leukemia including boosters, rabies vaccination and Home Again microchip with rescue paid registration.  

Kitties also come with a 21-day health guarantee.

Each cat and kitten has been fostered in a home environment, to better ensure success in his or her forever home.
