Their chart-topping hits include "Kiss On My List" and "You Make My Dreams Come True."
Now, Daryl Hall and John Oates are making our dreams come true, by performing at Band Together NC’s Main Event of the year.
Since the 1970s, the legendary pop/soul duo has been claiming headlines and breaking records, selling more albums than any other duo in music history. Now, after their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hall & Oates will headline for Band Together NC.
Set for Saturday, May 3 at 7 p.m., at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, the Band Together show will also include special guests Robert Randolph — billed as one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Great Guitarists of All Time — and the Family Band.
Band Together’s Main Event is the largest charitable music event in the Southeast. The nonprofit’s mission is to use live music as a platform for social change, and since 2001 it has been making a positive impact in the lives of many.
Through individual and corporate donations, Band Together has raised nearly $3 million for local nonprofits to date. Its two 2014 recipients are Communities In Schools of Wake County and Community In Schools of Durham.
This year, organizers hope to surpass all previous events, by raising at least $1 million for these organizations.
Tickets for the performances begin at $55, and can be purchased at livenation.com.
Band Together NC is also looking for those willing to volunteer for the musical event; you can get more event info or sign up to help, at bandtogethernc.org
