Looking for fun with a give-back guarantee?
Take your pick — here are four fun events, all happening this weekend!
Mardi Gras is coming to Cary on Friday night! This annual fundraiser hosted by Cary MacGregor Rotary Club and Life Experiences helps fund a multitude of philanthropic projects throughout the year.
Sample foods and wines from popular area restaurants, enjoy music by the Back of the Boat Band, and bid on prizes like golf packages, handmade jewelry, vacations and sports car cruises.
Emcee for the evening is former Cary Mayor Ernie McAlister.
Mardi Gras costumes encouraged!
You don’t see court action like this every day: The Cary Invasion takes on the Cary Police Department Saturday night in an exhibition game benefiting Dorcas Ministries.
With concessions available and a half-time show by Cary’s national champion SuperSkippers, there’s something for everyone.
And watch for some special Cary Invasion players — the winners of a youth basketball shoot-off will be wearing Cary Invasion colors, sitting with players and even playing in the game!
It’s a two-fer!
Come out to support the Holly Springs High School Golden Hawks Club and the Holly Springs Hawks Lacrosse Team by taking part in this cornhole tournament on Saturday morning at My Way Tavern.
Bring canned goods, get free soup!
On Saturday, Chick-fil-A of Holly Springs will host a food drive for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard.
In honor of Super Bowl weekend, if you bring two cans of soup you’ll get a free bowl of either Hearty Breast of Chicken Soup or Chicken Tortilla Soup. Yum!
