Love is in the air — and in the pages of our new February issue!
We love love, and we’ve got lots to share, from Valentine’s date ideas for you and your honey, to real-life local wedding photos, and a fun update on the first-ever Cary Magazine couple.
Of course there’s more!
We’ll share our catch-up chat with the heartthrob of girls both young and young at heart, Scotty McCreery, and we’ll kick-start your vacation planning for extreme-adventure travels across the state.
Also, shop the latest goodies in our We Love feature, and meet our reader-selected 2014 Gives Back partner.
The February issue is making its way to a rack near you this week, so be on the lookout!
And while you’re feeling the love, here’s a sample of the sweet surprises awaiting you:
Chocolate!
Chocolate Smiles of downtown Cary, celebrating its 30th year, is one of five area chocolatiers we bring you this issue.
“It’s great to own a place where everyone coming in is happy,” said proprietor Melanie Williams.
Check out the heart-shaped box of goodies in our photo – who wouldn’t be happy here?
Offerings include specialty truffles like champagne, cherry blush and pistachio, along with locally-grown, chocolate-dipped cherries and strawberries. Williams often picks the strawberries from the fields herself!
Or, try the Charlie Chaplains, a delightful combo of peanut butter, roasted peanuts, marshmallows and toasted coconut, in dark chocolate.
