Grab your baskets and get ready to have an egg-stra special Easter with these fun local events. Register before it’s too late! 

Cary  

Hippity Hoppity Easter Egg Hunt 

April 1 | Free | Age 3-12 | Registration Required 

Get ready to put all your eggs in one basket at Cary’s Hippity Hoppity Easter Egg Hunt, with two locations to choose from: Alston Ridge Middle School Football Field and WakeMed Soccer Park Cross Country Field.  

Both hunts start at 10 a.m. Gates open at 9:15 a.m. Enjoy a magician, juggler, and LED hooper artist (and snap a picture with the Easter Bunny) before or after the hunt! Egg hunt areas will be divided up by age, and all age groups will start at the same time.

Easter Fun Basket 

Registration Required, Local Pickup Only 

Sign up for this family activity basket filled with eggs for hiding, Easter crafts, game ideas, sidewalk chalk, treats, and more! $15 for residents, $22 for nonresidents. Local pickup dates are March 27 or 28. When you arrive, hop out of the car, visit with the Easter Bunny, and snap a photo! Register each child separately — registration open while supplies last.  

Breakfast With the Bunny 

April 1| 9-10 a.m. | Herbert C. Young Community Center 

Join the Easter Bunny for a delicious continental breakfast provided by the Cary Teen Council.  Muffins, donuts, fresh fruit, and more will be served. Be sure to bring your Easter smiles, as the Easter Bunny will be available for photos and videos for ticket holders. There will be a private egg hunt immediately after breakfast, weather permitting, exclusively for ticket holders. $5 for ages 3 and up, free for 2 and under. Advance ticket purchase required. 

Easter Eggstravaganza 

April 4 | 6 p.m. & 7 p.m. | Marla Dorrel Park 

Individuals with disabilities, intellectual and/or physical, are invited to a free egg hunt at Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park. Meet the Easter Bunny and KATAL, enjoy the playground, and look for colorful eggs! Bring your Easter basket and a buddy, if needed. There are two options for egg hunts. Please choose either the 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. hunt. No registration required.  

Apex 

Ultimutt Dog Egg Hunt 

March 28 | 6 & 6:45 p.m. | Apex Nature Park (2600 Evans Road)  

Egg hunts are not just for children anymore! Bring your furry friends and a basket to hunt for treat-filled eggs together and get a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. The first UltiMutt Dog Egg Hunt is being offered for all Town of Apex Annual Dog Park Pass holders and their fur babies. Learn more about getting a dog park pass here. For safety, all dogs must remain on a leash throughout the hunt. Advance registration required.  

Egg-streme Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt 

March 28 | 8:15 p.m. | Apex Nature Park (2600 Evans Road)  

Don’t miss this free event for teens, ages 10-13! Grab your flashlight and search for candy-filled eggs. The hunt will start precisely at 8:15 p.m., so please arrive at 8 p.m. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight. Participants will gather at the large shelter. Advance registration required. Specialized Recreation Flashlight Egg Hunt 

March 30 | 8:15 p.m. | Apex Community Park (2200 Laura Duncan Road)  

This is a special event for individuals with disabilities. Grab your flashlight and search for candy-filled eggs. The hunt will start precisely at 8:15 p.m., so please arrive at 8 pm. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight. Support staff are welcome. Advance registration required.

Apex Bunny Trail Egg Hunt 

April 1 | 9-11:15 a.m. (start times vary) | Apex Community Park (2200 Laura Duncan Road)  

Grab your family and get ready to hit the trail for a free egg hunt! Registration is required. There are four time slots to choose from and space for 20 different families in each section. Only one adult in the family needs to register. When you arrive at the park, follow the signs to park and check-in. Kids of all ages are welcome, but please leave the pets at home. 

 

 

Morrisville 

 Easter Egg Hunt 

April 14 | 5:30-7 p.m. | Morrisville Community Park 

Join the Town of Morrisville for the 2022 Easter Egg Hunt at Morrisville Community Park. All Easter egg activities will be split by age groups, and on-site parking is available. Click here for more information!
