The Cary Diwali celebration attracted more than 12,000 people last Saturday to Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Diwali, the Hindu holiday also known as the Festival of Lights, is India’s largest and most important holiday.
This year’s theme, Darpan: Reflections of India, showcased the inherent beauty, diversity and vibrant culture of India through performances on stage, exhibitions, handicrafts and food.
Cary Magazine photographer Jonathan Fredin captured the colorful event with his cameras. Here are a few images from the celebration.
