Picture it: Strolling the pretty grounds of the Page-Walker Arts & History Center in downtown Cary, pausing to explore the nature-themed wares at craft and herb booths.
Or watching tiny wings flutter and take flight as live butterflies are released into the sunshine.
You don’t have to be a gardener to appreciate the bounty of spring, and a stroll through the garden. Celebrate all that grows, and gather new inspirations, at the eighth annual Herbfest in Cary!
Presented by the Town of Cary and the all-volunteer Friends of the Page-Walker, Herbfest also includes the chance to place your bid in a large silent auction, to get a close-up look at the historic 1850s Page smokehouse, and to grab a bite at one of the attending food trucks, or at the Young Friends’ bake sale.
This year’s Herbfest takes place on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Be inspired to start your own herb gardens, with a tour of the Anne B. Kratzer Educational Herb Garden. Check out the Pollinator Garden too, a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat featuring native plants.
It’s springtime, and the world is green. Maybe your thumb can be, too.
