Women’s Health Awareness Event April 6 at NCCU

The Women’s Health Awareness 2019 event will be held Saturday, April 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Mary Townes Science Building, 1900 Concord Street, Durham. The conference, which is free and open to the public, offers health screenings, workshops, seminars, and resources that empower women to make better health decisions. Spanish translation will be offered upon request for sessions and services.
On-site registration is available the day of the event, but those who register online by March 15 will receive a free lunch sponsored by Duke University Hospital. To register, go to www.niehs.nih.gov/whad.
The Women’s Health Awareness event attracts participants from several North Carolina counties, especially Durham, Wake, and Orange. It connects women with public health professionals, healthcare practitioners, and biomedical experts to increase awareness of women’s health issues.
