What was your favorite childhood book? You likely still remember, because reading can vividly spark kids’ imaginations into memories that last a lifetime. At Marbles, we’ll celebrate reading and literacy all weekend long for Read Across America at Marbles. Word play takes on a new meaning through hands-on activities and interactive storytimes led by special community guests, as well as Marbles IMAX showings of The Gruffalo, an Academy Award nominated short film based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson. 

The story-filled lineup begins Thursday and lasts until Sunday (Feb. 28 – March 3). Expect a bit of Seussical fun on Saturday, Dr. Seuss’s birthday! Saturday programming is supported by Wake County Smart Start and Imagination Library. All events take place at Marbles in downtown Raleigh and are included in $7 museum admission. Movie tickets are $5 per person.
