Ray Price Capital City Bikefest

Sep 22, 2017 @ 8:00 am - Sep 24, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

Downtown Raleigh streets roar to life during the 13th annual Ray Price Capital City Bikefest, presented by GEICO Motorcycle, held September 22-24, 2017. Among the nation’s select motorcycle festivals held in a downtown location, Capital City Bikefest has become a southern tradition for attendees who enjoy live music from 30+ bands, family friendly stunt shows, a tattoo festival, locally sourced food and craft beer. Held both outdoors and indoors at the Raleigh Convention Center, the festival features a custom bike show competition that attracts motorcycle builders from across the U.S., sanctioned by the International Master Bike Builders Association. Capital City Bikefest has raised more than $125,000 for charity beneficiaries the USO of North Carolina and the U.S. Veterans Corps.

As it enters its 13th year, Capital City Bikefest also has a new look that better reflects the mission, vision and energy of this iconic downtown Raleigh event.

Not only do we have a new look, but we’ve also made changes that better engage our visitors, our community and local businesses.

  1. We’ve redrawn our footprint to create more centers of activity on Fayetteville St by putting music stages on both ends. We believe this will create an even more vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
  1. We’re making partnerships a priority. We’ve created the Bikefest Means Business program to better engage our downtown and other local businesses. This includes a new smartphone app to promote and draw visitors to local restaurants, clubs and retailers.
  1. We’ve added new entertainment and thrills, including the famed Wall of Death spectacle that has been a mainstay on midways around the world for 100 years. Add this to our annual elite builder and public bike shows and our unmatched music schedule, and this is a can’t-miss event for Raleigh.
