BEYOND: The Film Festival gives audiences a glimpse of what it takes to create a movie. At this second annual event, feature-length and short films that embody the idea of “Heroes” will be shown, and screenwriters and filmmakers will offer their insights. Don’t miss the smartphone filmmaking workshop, “Make Your Own Zombie Film”!

The festival kicks off on Wednesday night with a family-friendly showing of Captain Marvel at Cary’s Downtown Park. Visit with Sergeant Yeager – the Cary dog nominated for American Humane Hero Dog of the Year, Military. There will also be a Kids Costume Contest – Make up Your Own Superhero and win prizes!
