The Library Steakhouse
Set inside Fuquay-Varina’s former public library, The Library Steakhouse marries preserved architectural details with tufted banquettes and walls of vintage volumes for an upscale, storybook setting. Owners Charles and Sara Lindsay, alongside executive chef Da’Jon Brandon, guide a polished full-service experience suited to date nights, business dinners, and milestone celebrations.
The kitchen spotlights 100% Certified Angus Beef, from the prime bone-in cowboy ribeye to a slow-braised lamb shank, complemented by lobster bisque, crab dip, and seasonal salads that lean on local farms. Thoughtful pacing lets guests savor courses like crispy fried Brussels sprouts before indulging in desserts inspired by classic steakhouse traditions.
At the bar, librarians of libations mix literary cocktails such as the Tequila Mockingbird and Murder on the Orient Espresso, pour an extensive whiskey list, and suggest pairings for more than a dozen wines by the glass. A year-round patio and flexible reservation system make gathering effortless, and the restaurant’s storytelling hospitality earned 2025 Maggy Awards for Best New Restaurant and Best Steakhouse.
