Date Night in the Park 

Downtown Cary Park
Feb. 14, 5-9 p.m.

Create and connect at this event aimed at couples 16 and older. The Josh Colton Duo will set the mood with romantic live music. First-come, first-served arts activities include mini terrariums, 3D ceramic painting, a folded love letter workshop straight out of Jane Austen, and more.

Pals & Gals Vintage Valentine’s Party

City of Raleigh Museum
Feb. 13, 7-9 p.m.

Sip espresso martinis and make vintage-inspired cards with your partner, friends, or yourself! All materials provided. Tickets required, and proceeds benefit educational programs at the City of Raleigh Museum.

Party for Pets

Unleashed, the Dog and Cat Store (locations in Cary and Raleigh)
Feb. 14, noon to 3 p.m.

Bring your furry friend for a Cutest Valentine costume competition or Doggy Kissing Contest. Try to match employees with photos of their pets. Make a doggie bag at the all-day treat buffet. Snag a photo at the photo booth. Win prizes. And more!

Drink specials, like the Love Potion #69 slushie, and a photo booth run all day long.

Sole Mates Race

WakeMed Soccer Park
Feb. 14, 8:45 a.m.

Whoever your sole mate is, bring them to the WakeMed Soccer Park for a choose-your-own-length race experience. Run the Fun Mile, or opt for a 5K or 6.5-mile race with option of individual or paired finish times. Virtual options available if you plan on staying snuggled up.

The Music Man SR. 

Raleigh Little Theatre
Feb. 9-10 and 12-14, all shows at 2 p.m.

Bop along to the classic love story of a traveling salesman and a librarian. These musical matinees have a 1-hour runtime, and all actors and crew are age 55+! (Check out our interview with the producer and director for some fun insights before you go.)
