Adoptable Pet of the Week: Nehi

Gentle Guardian & Certified Good Girl

Hi, I’m Nehi — part protector, part snuggle bug, and full-time sweetheart. I’m the kind of friend who’s happy to hang out nearby while you work, nap, or binge your favorite show. I don’t need to be on top of you — just close enough to know we’re together.

I’ve been through a lot, but I’ve learned how good life can be when you’re safe and loved. I’m crate trained but don’t really need it — I’m trustworthy and keep the house rules all on my own. Recently, I discovered something called zoomies, and let me tell you, they’re amazing! I love a good walk, a sniff of the breeze, and a romp with my doggy friends.

Are you looking for a best friend who loves quiet company, cozy naps, and long walks under the sunshine? I’m your gal. I am looking for a kind, patient human (and maybe a doggy buddy) who understands that love takes a little time to bloom — but once it does, it’s forever.

Ideal first playdate:

A stroll through the neighborhood followed by a cozy rest on the porch.

Love language:

Quality time — just being near my favorite people (and maybe a few treats).

Special skills:

Home security expert (no delivery person goes unnoticed).

Hidden talent:

Being totally trustworthy when left home alone — I’m the definition of a good roommate.

My celebrity doppelganger:

Sandra Bullock — calm, classy, and tougher than she looks.

I’m a 10, but …

I might take a minute to warm up — once I do, I’m a 12.

Two truths and a lie:

  • I’ve mastered the art of the perfect head tilt.
  • I once barked at my own reflection.
  • I hate belly rubs. (That’s the lie!)

My biggest dislike is …

When the walk ends right as I’m finding the perfect sniff spot.

Theme song:

“You’ve Got a Friend in Me” — because loyalty is kind of my thing.

If I had a human job, it would be:

A therapist — I’m great at listening and never interrupt.
