Park After Dark in Downtown Cary

Sep 13, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Bring a date, a group of friends, or fly solo as you enjoy the live music of Peter Lamb and the Wolves for the final Park After Dark of 2017 at downtown Cary’s newest crown Jewel – Downtown Park, 319 S. Academy St. on September 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Acoustic jazz quintet Peter Lamb and the Wolves will mix together Bob Dylan and Tom Waits with a tango and French waltz. Gussy’s Greek Street Food will be serving some great Greek cuisine and Pharmacy Bottle and Beverage will be on site serving fantastic craft beers and wines. Once In a Blue Moon Bakery and Café will also be there providing their gourmet desserts.

Park After Dark is open to all ages but is especially designed to give couples a special night out with activities planned at creating a date night atmosphere. Citizens can bring their own dinner and non-alcoholic beverages. Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed but can be purchased in the park. A limited number of chairs will be provided, but citizens are encouraged to bring their own.

Downtown Park is a key piece in the rejuvenation of downtown Cary. A true urban park, the new space anchors the corner of South Academy Street and Kildaire Farm Road. The park features a stunning lighted fountain, open green space, benches, public art, moveable tables and chairs, table tennis, foosball, bocce, checker and chess tables, and the performance green and stage area. Parking is available in downtown Cary and the parking lots at Cary Elementary and public library. Accessible parking is located at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. In the event of rain, events will be rescheduled. In the case of inclement weather, citizens can visit www.townofcary.org/rainout for the latest programming information.
