Celebrate Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca. The 11th annual Nazim Hikmet Poetry Festival brings together poets, scholars, and poetry fans in the humanistic spirit of the internationally renowned poet Nazim Hikmet Ran. Enjoy keynote speaker Irene Gomez Castellano and hear local and regional poets read, including North Carolina Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton-Green. Attendees can also meet the winners of the Nazim Hikmet Poetry Competition.
