March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction

One of area’s most popular culinary events, the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction, will take place on Oct. 12. The event begins at 6:30p.m. at the Garden on Millbrook.
Area chefs will prepare their signature dishes created exclusively for the evening and present them during a lively cocktail reception and silent auction. Chef Julia McGovern of The Poppyseed Market will be joined by a stellar lineup of chefs from more than seven of the area’s most prominent restaurants, including Chef Serge Falcoz-Vigne of Saint Jacques, Chef Matt Thompson of The Bistro in the Park at the Embassy Suites, Chef Josh Coburn of the Oval Park Grille, Chef Debra Watson of the Garden on Millbrook, Chef Eamonn Kelly of Trali Irish Pub, Chef Bryan Florence of Seasons 52, Chef Maurice Thornhill of Brio Tuscan Grille.
Following the tasting and silent auction, there will be a spirited live auction featuring unique culinary and travel packages.
Funds raised by Signature Chefs Auction help support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) family support programs and advocacy efforts for moms and babies.
Today, one in every ten U.S. infants is born premature, including 1 in 10 in North Carolina. The March of Dimes is committed to funding research to find the answers to problems that continue to threaten the lives and health of babies. The Sebastianelli family of the Triangle has been touched by the mission of the March of Dimes when their twins were born too soon. They spent 150 days in the NICU but now they are healthy and active 5 year olds.
Tables of ten for the event are $2,500 and individual tickets for the event are $150 per person.
