K9-3K Dog Walk and Woofstock

Apr 29, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

The year 2017 marks 50 years of life-saving work by the SPCA of Wake County.  On April 29, thousands of people and dogs will come together to celebrate that milestone and walk to further the mission of creating a more humane community.

The SPCA of Wake County will hold its 18th annual K9-3K Dog Walk and Woofstock April 29 at Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary.  Registration is now open online at spcawake.org/walk.

This year’s goal is to raise $225,000. That money is used to rescue animals from other area shelters, assist with puppy mill busts, offer low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and to provide life-saving care for animals who may not otherwise have a chance at survival or finding a forever home.

People can sign-up online to walk to walk as an individual or form a team and begin fundraising now.  April 29 will be a day-long celebration featuring local vendors, entertainment, food trucks, dog contests and the walk itself.  Gates open at 9am and the party lasts until 2pm.  The walk will start at 11am.

Adult registration is $35. Sign-up today to walk with us or be a sponsor: http://SPCAwake.org/walk.
