La Grassa Pastificio brings scratch-made Italian cooking to Cary’s Reedy Creek Square, where chef-owner Robert “Bobby” Reynaud and his team deliver genuine hospitality in a minimalist dining room. Guests settle into the intimate space for seated dinner service that showcases flavors from across Italy.

The menu leans seasonally driven, with starters like rosemary focaccia with olive tapenade or burrata over plum-beet emulsion leading into house pastas. Rigatoni Bolognese layers beef, veal, and pork in a creamy tomato sauce, saffron seafood risotto brims with scallops, shrimp, and crab, and grilled flank steak arrives over gnocchi with truffle cream.

Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with reservations managed through Resy, online takeout ordering for guests dining at home, and customizable private parties available on request. In March 2025 the restaurant was named North Carolina’s best Italian restaurant by iHeart’s statewide roundup, affirming its reputation for handmade pasta and polished service.
