Dampf Good BBQ

Dampf Good BBQ brings Texas craft barbecue to Phillips Farms in Cary, where brothers Nick and Bryce Dampf tend a 32-foot trailer smoking meats low and slow over oak. The weekend-only pit stop draws eager crowds for its USDA Prime brisket and farm-side setting.

Brisket is joined by hulking beef ribs, pulled pork, turkey breast, house sausages, and bacon brisket, all sliced to order in classic meat-market fashion. Rotating specials keep regulars returning, from the pastrami Reuben on Thursdays to brisket burgers on Fridays and taco plates on Saturdays. Sides such as loaded mashed potato salad, smoked mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, butcher block beans, and elote add bright, smoky counterpoints.

Guests queue at the left window for counter-service ordering before settling into picnic tables under the open-air pavilion with craft sodas in hand. Hours run Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday until 6 p.m. or sellout, so arriving early is wise. Online ordering and catering make it easy to plan ahead, whether for a family feast or a tailgate spread.
