This Race is for the Dogs (and their Humans)

Proceeds from the Mutts & Marshmallows race will go to the Wake County SPCA, and your furry companion will enjoy an outing at the WakeMed Soccer Park.

Start the New Year on the right foot with a fun run with friends and a big mug of hot chocolate at Mutts & Marshmallows!

The 7th annual event will be Saturday, Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Everyone who finishes a race gets a great mug and all the hot chocolate they can drink. Plus, proceeds from the Doggie Dash 5K go to support the SPCA of Wake County.

Last year the event sold out with hundreds of people joining Fit & Able Productions to support the SPCA. This year Mutts & Marshmallows is capped at 850 participants, so don’t wait to register!

Fit & Able loves family fitness, and whose four-legged furry friend isn’t part of the family? Dog owners are welcome to run with their pups in the Doggie Dash 5K! For only $10 per dog it will be happy trails for both runners and their dogs. Plus, the full $10 dog sign-up fee goes to support the SPCA of Wake County!

Along with the event’s signature race, there are three other races to choose from: a regular 5K, an 8K, and a 1-mile fun run. Dogs may not participate in the regular 5K, 8K, or 1-mile races; children 12 and under may not participate in the Doggie Dash 5K. The Mutts & Marshmallows is also the first race of Fit & Able’s 2020 Free-for-All Race Series.
