On Sept. 17, Triangle women will be shoe shopping for a great cause at A Pair to Remember luncheon to benefit Wake Teen Medical Services from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel at North Hills in Raleigh.
The well-heeled event is in its fifth year and expanded its theme this year to include a fashion show featuring this fall’s hottest shoes, clothing, jewelry and accessories. Models for the show will include teens that have benefited from the programs and services Wake Teen provides. During the luncheon, ladies will network, get pampered by makeup specialists and chair massages and bid on silent auction items.
There will also be a $1,000 cash raffle with the lucky winner announced during the event. Tickets are $50 each if purchased before Aug. 17 and cost $55 afterwards.
Proceeds from the event will support the mission of Wake Teen to improve the health and well-being of teens and young adults in Wake County. More than 16,000 teens in Wake County don’t have health insurance and Wake Teen is the only not-for-profit, teen-only health provider in county.
