Silly or Spooky, Bring On the Treats!

Kids love choosing what they’ll dress up as for Halloween. Let the little ones show off those costumes, and collect lots of fun and treats to boot, at these local Halloween events!

Trick or Treat the Trails - Wednesday, Oct. 31, 3 to 6 p.m.

Trick-or-treat your way around the trails at White Deer Park, and collect ghoulish treats from local community organizations and businesses. This event is free to the public. An adult must accompany children at all times; no pets please. White Deer Park is located at 2400 Aversboro Road in Garner, with overflow parking available across the street at Lake Benson Park. HOWL-O-Ween at the SPCA - Saturday, Oct. 27, 1 to 4 p.m.

Join the SPCA of Wake County for the seventh annual Howl-O-Ween celebration! Complete with crafts, treats, games and SPCA dogs parading the newest Halloween costumes, this event is fun for the entire family. You’ll also have the chance to vote for Best Black Cat in the Shelter. The SPCA Pet Adoption Center is located at 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, just outside Garner. For more information, visit
