North Carolina Museum of Art Hosts Annual Art in Bloom
November 13 @ 12:19 am
Each year, Art in Bloom features over 50 floral interpretations of art in the Museum’s permanent collection in West Building. During the four-day festival, Thursday, March 22 through Sunday, March 25, visitors can take in a presentation, attend a workshop, taste floral-inspired food and drinks, or shop the Museum Store. Proceeds from Art in Bloom tickets support Museum programming and exhibitions.
Featuring more than 50 florists from around the country, the event pairs paintings with peonies (and flora of all types) for a one-of-a-kind experience. Florists are randomly assigned a work of art in the NCMA’s permanent collection and tasked with building a floral display inspired by the art.
The four-day fundraiser will be packed with related events including floral workshops, lectures, and a floral tattoo party. The Museum will have special extended hours and food options, along with daily trunk shows in the Museum Store.
