Comeback Fest from Band Together

$20Comeback Fest, Band Together and the United Way of the Greater Triangle’s benefit event is expected to raise $2 Million to be evenly disbursed among 100 nonprofit organizations in the Triangle. These dollars will assist in the recovery and rebuilding of the Triangle community after COVID-19. A full list of organizations being awarded funding can be found here.
“We’re thrilled to announce our 2021 nonprofit partner recipients for Comeback Fest. These incredible impact organizations play a pivotal role in stabilizing and strengthening the Triangle,” said Thorne Daubenspeck, Band Together Executive Director. “It is an honor to promote their efforts and thankful to working side by side with the United Way of the Greater Triangle to help raise money for all of these incredible nonprofits that serve our community.”
Each nonprofit organization was selected through a rigorous application process and chosen for their commitment to community impact. Selected nonprofit organizations serve Wake, Durham, Orange and Johnston County, and meet at least one of United Way’s Three Pillars of Investment: Cradle to Career, Equity in Leadership, and Healthy Families. Comeback Fest will take place on October 23, 2021 at Red Hat Amphitheater, featuring the soul and psychedelic rock trio Khruangbin as the headliner. Opening acts include soul-revivalist Lee Fields and the Expressions and legendary hip-hop MC Big Daddy Kane. Tickets to Comeback Fest can be purchased at this ticket link.
