Being an influential woman usually involves juggling lots of daily responsibilities, commitments and accomplishments — yet often humbly expecting no recognition in return. Our 2010 Women of Western Wake are just that. They have proven — through their leadership, commitment to community service and professional achievements — that they deserve recognition for their accomplishments. However, without our sponsors, giving them the praise they deserve would not be quite as possible. Therefore, we’d like to take the time to introduce you to some of our Women of Western Wake Luncheon sponsors and let you see what this event means to them. Much like our 2010 Women of Western Wake, our sponsors make Western Wake a great place to live and do business.
Neil LaGarde, of Fink’s Jewelers, believes it is important to give back to the community and knows the importance of women to the fine jewelry business. “All of these ladies have proven to be leaders in their professions, their lives and our community,” he said. “They understand the balance needed be a true leader. We consider it an honor to be a part of this luncheon and being able to do our part in thanking them for their commitment.”
The Women of Western Wake Luncheon is a reflection of the ties that bond a community. After all, behind every great community are a few great women. Judy Fourie, of J Fourie Company, knows the responsibilities that come with being a female role model in the community. “I have had the opportunity to be a mentor to many women and have had the good fortune to be mentored by some incredible women, old and young,” she said. “I believe it is important to work hard, respect others, treat your employees well, inspire trust and confidence from your clients and give back to the community in a meaningful way.”
It is their inspiring ways, their impact on the community and the leadership demonstrated by the 2010 Women of Western Wake that inspires our sponsors to contribute to the event. According to Danielle Beagley, of Crescent State Bank, the Women of Western Wake Luncheon’s presenting sponsor, “It is important that local businesses remain invested in this community and give back to it just as the women being honored as Women of Western Wake have. At Crescent State Bank, we are working hard to do that, and we are proud to be a sponsor of this event which rewards local women for their commitment to this community.”
Thanks to all of the Women of Western Wake luncheon’s sponsors. Crescent State Bank, JM Edwards Jewelry and J Fourie Company have all sponsored this event in years past. The 2010 sponsors include:
Crescent State Bank
The Container Store
Fink’s Jewelers
JM Edwards
J Fourie Company
Meredith College
There are still sponsorship opportunities available. If interested, please contact Cary Magazine.
The 2010 Women of Western Wake will be announced in the September/October issue of Cary Magazine.
