Do the Bunny Hop

Spring will get bunny-hopping this weekend as basket-bearing egg hunters take to the grounds at local Easter events.

Visits with the Easter Bunny are just part of the offerings in Garner, as the town’s Spring Eggstravaganza kicks off on Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

The free event will be held at Lake Benson Park, and offers a live concert by entertainer Billy Jonas, nature activities, games and inflatables, crafts and concessions.

Bring your camera for pictures with the big Bunny himself, and encourage the kids as they hunt for eggs beginning at noon in the age categories of 2 & under; 3-5 years; 6-8 years; and 9-12 years.

Lake Benson Park is located at 921 Buffaloe Road, Garner.

Also, on Sunday, March 24, Garner United Methodist Church invites the public to its Easter celebration and egg hunt, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Kids from toddlers to fifth-graders can take part in games, crafts and egg hunts, and will have the opportunity to put together an Easter basket for children at the Ronald McDonald House.
