Kids Safety Day

By

How prepared are you if your child goes missing? Does your child know not to talk to strangers? Morrisville’s Bear Rock Café is hosting a Kids Safety Day event on September 16 from 6:30–8 p.m. to help parents be prepared.

In conjunction with the Morrisville Police and Fire Department, a representative from New York Life will issue kid ID kits for parents to have their children fingerprinted and photographed for ID cards. In case of any emergency, law enforcement authorities can use the child’s completed ID kit to scan the child’s fingerprints into the National Crime Information Center database. These fingerprints can then be used to help locate the child in a variety of ways.

Morrisville Police will also give a stranger danger presentation while the Morrisville Fire Department will be on hand talking to the kids about fire safety. The Kids Safety Day event is free, and kids eat for 99 cents with the purchase of an adult meal entrée.

Bear Rock will not keep any of the children’s information in any database. For more information and to register, contact Olivia Jacob at ojacob@bearrockcatering.com.
