If the chilly weather didn’t clue you in, the holidays are right around the corner. And the season begins now!
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the tale of “the worst kids in the history of the world” performing in a surprisingly enjoyable program, opens tomorrow at Raleigh Little Theatre and runs through Sunday, Nov. 18.
During the run of the show, the theater will support The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina by accepting donations of non-perishable foods. The most needed items can be found here.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office (919) 821-3111, or at www.raleighlittletheatre.org. Tickets are $13 for adults and teens, and $9 for children 12 and under.
Pinehurst’s 16th annual Festival of Trees celebrates the holiday season with more than 200 decorated trees Nov. 6-11. You’ll also find wreaths, gingerbread houses and lots of other Christmas spirit.
Friday evening, Nov. 9, will offer Swinging Around the Christmas Tree with the Swing Street Band. Saturday morning a Christmas craft and collectible show will open visitors at the Carolina Hotel. The Festival of Trees Benefit Gala on Nov. 10 will feature live music, food and drinks, and a silent auction benefiting Sandhills Children’s Center.
For more information, visit www.sandhillschildrenscenter.org/trees/.
One more opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit early — and get a jump on your decorating — is the Holiday Open House at Logan Trading Co. in Raleigh on Nov. 8. Holiday music and hors d’oeuvres complement the decked out trees and displays meant to inspire your own home’s décor this season.
See www.logantrd.com/2012/openhouse-2/ for information.
