March … and Fly

Caroline Garber was born in December 2013, 15 weeks before her due date, and weighing only 1 pound, 12 ounces. Today, thanks to the March of Dimes, she’s a happy, healthy 2-year-old.

You can be part of miracles like these, by stepping out this Saturday in the March for Babies, a March of Dimes initiative that helps moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies, and raises funds for research to find causes and preventions for premature births.

The three-mile march starts at 10 a.m., at Duke Realty in Perimeter Park, 3005 Carrington Mill Blvd., Morrisville.

And because helping others gives us wings, also check out the Children's Flight of Hope Golf and Tennis Classic set for Sunday and Monday, May 1-2.

The 24th annual classic includes a tennis tournament on Sunday afternoon, the Wheels Up party on Sunday evening, and the golf tournament on Monday at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary.

Children's Flight of Hope provides air transportation for children, to give them access to specialized medical care.
