Nearly 11,000 people voted in the 2015 Maggy Awards, to name their favorite community heroes when it comes to making Western Wake a great place to live.

This week, we brought the winners together for an all-out live celebration full of food, drinks and fun, hosted by Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Morrisville, winner of the Maggy for Best New Restaurant.

So what happens when you gather more than 100 Maggy winners in one place? See for yourself!

We met and mingled, we laughed, and we cheered each other on, in true community spirit.   

Maggy winners also stepped up to donate raffle and auction prizes that brought in hundreds of dollars to benefit Best Charity winner Dorcas Ministries, and the 2015 Cary Magazine Gives Back charity partner, Brown Bag Ministry.

Since 2006, Cary Magazine has honored readers’ favorite people and places of Western Wake via the Maggy Awards, which have grown in popularity each year.
